British Science Week at Parkgate Junior School - a celebration of all things STEM!

1st -7th March 2021

This year's theme is 'Innovating for the Future'.

We used our investigative skills and solved different problems and challenges.

Science is not reserved for geniuses. It's for everyone! You already share many of the characteristics and skills that STEM people have. It's all about unlocking these skills.

This week we have practised many STEM: being: curious, resilient, creative, hard-working and logical...to name just a few.

Still not convinced? wink

Watch Caliana's (5 Parrot) brilliant slide presentation: "Why science is for me".

We completed the following challenges:

1. Crafty Rafts - we created paper boats and tested them fairly to see how much weight they can hold before sinking.

2. Bridge Blunder

3. Science poster "Innovating for the future"

4. Fizzy Drink + Elephant Toothpaste + Candle Investigation

5. Racing Rockets

6. Can you clean a dirty penny?

7. Lab Coat Design

8. British Science Weekend - Family Challenge - Scrapbook
