Digital Literacy is a big part of our curriculum. Although computers and technology are used in all parts of our curriculum it is important to remember that certain skills still need to be taught separately.
We teach programming, debugging and exchanging information. Our children are taught how to access information, decide how suitable and reliable it is, store it and share it with others.
One of the most important things we learn is how to use ICT safely. We work on e-safety in all years and across many different curriculum areas. It is important that as we move through KS2 children at Parkgate consider carefully how they keep themselves safe online and how they should treat others the same way that they would in the real world.
