Year 6 Visit to the Lincolnsfield Centre
Year 6 had a fantastic day travelling back in time to the 1940s at the Linconsfields Centre this week. They learnt about what life was like for children and adults during World War Two. The highlights of the trip were experiencing what school would have been like for children during WW2; finding out what a typical 1940s house would have looked like as well as the clothes they would have worn and the food they had available to eat; getting to take refuge in an air raid shelter and see the affect of the blitz in the streets of cities; and finally, finding out about the 'Dig for Victory' campaign, Anderson shelters and listening to an air raid siren.
