Read ebooks and listen to audio books without having to go to the library. Parents can also read ebooks and digital newspaper and magazines. All you need is your library card and your pin number.

Access above online services immediately using the temporary member number provided on sign up, until they are able to issue you with a permanent library card once libraries re-open.
Listen to books. A large selection of books and stories have been made free during school closures. Listeners can access the site from their computers, tablets and smartphones and enjoy selections in six languages – English, Spanish, French, Italian, German and Japanese. There’s no log in and no need to be an Audible member. Now available: Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
Watch books turned into TV series, including The Worst Witch, Tracy Beaker, Deadly 60, Hetty Feather, Hank Zipzer, The Demon Headmaster.

Excellent website for listening to books and other activities. Entertainment, comedy, drama, music, activities, facts, sport. Listen to Carrie's War, War Horse, Tracy Beaker Podcast, Shakespeare, The Tales of Beatrix Potter and more.
Read a book. Completely free for all children and families, the extraordinary collection of short stories, poems, essays and pictures has contributions from more than 110 children’s writers and illustrators, including Lauren Child, Anthony Horowitz, Greg James and Chris Smith, Michael Morpurgo, Liz Pichon, Axel Scheffler, Francesca Simon and Jacqueline Wilson.
The collection, published by Bloomsbury, is dedicated to the doctors, nurses, carers, porters, cleaners and everyone currently working in hospitals.
Watch on Facebook. Norwich children's bookshop has a Facebook Live storytime every weekday at 1pm and 5pm. You can also watch some of them afterwards on their Facebook page. So far, Dinosaurs Love Underpants, Alice in Wonderland, Iron Man, The Runaway Pea, Space Tortoise, the Hug and more.

Read and listen to classic books. Including Alice in Wonderland, Wind in the Willows, Railway Children, Jungle Book, Peter Pan, Black Beauty. In Word, pdf and audiobook formats. A few pages missing here and there in audio format.
Mantra Lingua (dual language books)
Mantra Lingua publishes books in dual languages - English and another language. Huge online library of over 550 books and 38 languages. Each book is read aloud in English and your Home Language. There are folk tales, myths, stories of multi-cultural life here in the UK and reference books. Each book has a video and a set of activities to help build language skills. The library covers reading ages from 3 to 15 years, so other members of your family can also access and enjoy together!
This is currently free of charge. To access the Kitabu Dual Language Library, all you need to do is fill in the form below, and they will send an email with the access code. You can read the books on your computers, laptops, tablets or smart phones. This access ends on 31 August 2020.

The new TIME for Kids digital library will provide access to new issues of TIME for Kids each week and will also make available a complete library of previously published editions from 2020 along with additional educational resources and activities.
