Fortnightly Maths Challenge
Fri 14 Feb 2020This fortnight’s challenge involves cooking! You could bake a cake, make some biscuits or follow a recipe to help make dinner for the family. You will be practising your maths skills through measuring weight and volume. You may want to practice your doubling skills by making a larger batch than the recipe states. Write out your recipe and take photos of you measuring out the ingredients as well as the finished food. Please don't bring food in, a picture poster and recipe will be fab for the display board.
Alternatively, if any of you are planning on visiting London in half term and are going to Kings Cross, you could complete the family maths trail attached and discover the maths around the area.
You can find the copy of the worksheet in “Our children” section of our website. Good luck.

Exciting PTA News!
Fri 07 Feb 2020We are very pleased to announce that we will be getting a trim trail/outdoor exercise equipment over the next few months. The PTA have fund raised for a number of years to get the trim trail and with school funds providing the specialist flooring, we now have enough money. We will now be consulting with the children over what equipment they want and hopefully we will get it installed before the warmer weather.
A very big thank you to the PTA and all the Parents who have contributed to helping at events and giving up their time, as well as supporting the school. The PTA is such a vital part of the school funding and the events contribute so much to the life of the school. It really shows the Parkgate family in action. Thanks so much!
