OCTOBER MATHS CHALLENGE

Get outside in this lovely autumnal weather and see how many of the following activities you can complete. Take photos and create a poster for the maths challenge wall. This challenge covers half-term, so a great opportunity to get outside. Have fun! Find some leaves and put them in size order. Go on a conker hunt. How many can you find? Find some twigs and order them from smallest to largest. Use a ruler or tape measure to measure their length in cm, mm or m (metres will involve decimals). Have you noticed any spider’s webs covered in dew? Where did you spot them? What shapes can you see in them? Collect autumn leaves and make a pattern using their colours.
