Fabulous Fables and Mystical Dragons

We had lots of children and parents come to our 'Fabulous Fables & Mystical Dragons'.

We had so much fun!

We heard about the Scottish traditional tale of The Dragon Stoorworm, children created and wrote their  fabulous scene settings for stories, we created mystical dragons from wooden spoons, coloured dragon eggs, completed a fantasy jigsaw, coloured mythical bookmarks and created designs from dragon stencils.

We also had a lovely display and collection of dragon and myths books for the children to look at and borrow. Thank you to Miss Osborne for her wonderful scene-setting writing session and to Mrs Wallis and Mrs Wills Osborne for helping out. Mrs Parr

Non-Fiction Event: Chameleons are Cool!

 We had a fabulous event in the library after school all about amazing animals. We enjoyed listening to Mrs Parr's read-aloud of the lovely Chameleons are Cool! book and learned some amazing facts about the reptile.

We also did activities including making a hedgehog from a discarded book, making a snake from a paper plate and lots of animal bookmark colouring. All of our animal non-fiction books were on display so children could browse, read and borrow them if they wanted.
