Here is the recipe I used for the assembly on Wednesday 6th May
Chocolate Rice Krispy buns
3 tbsp golden syrup
70-90g Rice Krispies or other breakfast cereal
Put around 10 paper cases out for your buns. You can stand them in a fairy cake tin to hold them upright.
Put chocolate, butter and golden syrup in a large bowl and microwave in 10 second bursts until the chocolate is nearly melted. Stir with a spoon until all of the liquid ingredients are combined. Do not let the chocolate burn.
Add the cereal to the bowl and stir carefully until all the cereal is covered in chocolate. Then spoon into the cases. You can pop in the fridge to chill or wait for them to harden. Don’t eat too many at once!
