The Chithambara Maths Challenge
The Chithambara Maths Challenge is a charity organisation hosted by the Chithambara School, located in North Sri Lanka. They host this challenge in the UK and other countries worldwide annually. This year I participated in the challenge for the third time. I found the test challenging but not too bad, but to my surprise, after a few months I was selected to attend the award ceremony. I went to the award ceremony in Croydon with my family. At the ceremony I was really nervous because there were approximately 200 children invited, and they ordered us in ascending order (according to our marks). When they called me up to the stage, they announced my marks and rank. However, before I could hear the announcement, there was an enthusiastic round of applause by the audience. I felt very proud of myself as I realised that I had achieved the 4th rank with 96%. Abishaya K 4 Puffin.
