Year 5 School Production
Thu 30 Mar 2023On Tuesday, Year 5 performed an AMAZING musical by Niki Davies. The musical was called ‘Plastic Pirates.’ The performance was outstanding, the jokes were great and the acting was dazzling. The music, sound, lights and props were fantastic. The audience enjoyed themselves as well as the children. The audience were extraordinary with great listening skills and laughing at the right time. Thank You to all the members of staff who helped put on the play.

Music Concert
Fri 24 Mar 2023The annual music concert was held on Wednesday after school. Pupils who learn the violin, piano and guitar at school played their instruments to an audience of parents, teachers and friends. The Singing Club also performed 2 of the songs they had learned for the Young Voices concert held earlier in the year. Everyone who participated performed extremely well and should be very proud of themselves.

Viking Day Shields

Mother Tongue Assembly
Fri 17 Mar 2023This week we shared the amazing work that was created on Mother Tongue day. The Year 3 and 4's shared a variety of ways to say hello in different languages. The Year 5's explored a poem about loosing your mother tongue and performed parts in Guajarati. The Year 6's explored the different languages they speak within their year group. We are very lucky to have such a range of languages spoken at Parkgate Juniors.

Year 5 Viking Day
Fri 10 Mar 2023Today, Year 5 children spent the morning exploring the Viking weapons and they made bread following the recipe from the Viking times. The girls enjoyed making Viking brooches and everyone designed their own shield in the afternoon.

Football Match - Holy Rood School
Fri 10 Mar 2023On Wednesday 8th March, Parkgate football team played a match against Holy Rood school. It was lots of fun especially in the snow. There were some amazing tackles and skills shown. The final score was 3- 0 to Holy Rood.

Warner Bros Studios - Harry Potter
Fri 10 Mar 2023Year 4 had a fantastic time at the Warner Bros Studios on Wednesday. They took part in a writing activity in the special classroom they have. They were able to handle some of the props that were used in the films. After the workshop, they went on the tour and saw the sets , costumes and props used in the films. They had a wonderful time and enjoyed every minute.

March Maths Challenge - Scavenger hunt!
Fri 03 Mar 2023Your challenge this month is to use the information which was emailed this morning and find the objects listed. Take photos of your finds and create a wonderful poster for our maths display. Alternatively, you could make up your own scavenger hunt. You have until the 31st March to bring your work in but it would be great to get it a few days before so that we can do the March display before the Easter holiday.
