Young Voices Concert
Fri 19 Jan 2024On Tuesday this week, 19 members of the singing club took part in an amazing concert held at the O2 Arena. They performed in a choir with 9000 other children! It was a fantastic opportunity for the children who loved the whole experience. They sang a wide range of popular and traditional songs, including a Moana Mash- up, a pop- medley, gospel songs, a Matilda medley, and a Korean folk song! They were able to see the street dance group ‘Urban Strides’ perform, as well as MC Grammar and amazing 13 year old drummer, Nandi Bushell! Thank you to all members of staff and parents who have helped and supported the choir in this big adventure!

Age UK Visit
Fri 19 Jan 2024This morning we had the return of the Art Group from Age UK. It was wonderful watching some of the Year 4 children drawing portraits of our Age UK visitors and the older people drawing the children. You will be able to see the results in the summer term when we hold an art exhibition.
We have close links with Age UK and participate in activities each year from plays, tea parties, art and craft activities and we will also be joining with DRUM (the disabled group next door) this spring, to take part in a ceramics project. It is wonderful listening to the different conversations.

Just before Christmas, Parkgate pupils made their own peace doves to exhibit in the Year 6 corridor with messages of Peace, Love & Hope.
